Youth Delegation programs between 2 countries is a diplomatic exchange, where youth from one country travel to the other country to learn more about the country. It is co-organized by the governments of both the countries, and it aims to promote youth interaction and cultural exchange between the countries and its delegates. The Indian Youth Delegation to Nepal, in April 2018 consisted of 37 delegates from all parts of the country, which included NSS and NYKS volunteers, Youth Leaders and students from various reputed institutes like IITs, NITs, AIIMS, and DU. Also accompanying them were dignitaries from Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India, Govt. of Nepal, National Youth Council, and other organizations.
I was selected from IIT Goa for this delegation programme. The tour took place from 3rd April to 12th April 2018. The delegation visited many places in Nepal such as Nagarkot, Lumbini, Chitwan National Park, Devi's falls, and the world-famous Pashupatinath Temple.
I cannot possibly end this without mentioning all the great people who were part of this great success story. All the representatives from Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, India, The Indian Embassy, Nepal, and other "caretakers" were always supportive. Not to mention the officials from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Nepal, and the National Youth Council, who were cheerful from the beginning. And of course, I would like to thank all the fellow delegates for letting me have such a great time. Shout out to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, India, and MoYS, Nepal as well, without which something as big and amazing as this would not be possible.
